Meet our Interns at Bertelsmann HR Services
HR Services at Bertelsmann has put together our list of interns and asked them to blog about their experiences working for a recruiting services department at a major media company.
Our interns work on many projects that are connected to the daily functions of our business units in the book publishing, music publishing, TV production, online and service units.
This is a great opportunity to hear first hand what its like to work across Bertelsmann from the people who are in the internships!

Happy Monday
Personally I have been working on the New Employee Orientation sites for Arvato Digital Services (US) and Arvato Canada. This was a team effort with Alexis. We have the majority finished and with a few corrections here and there we will have finished what was a big assignment.
Now, what did this assignment consist of? It was basically the behind-the-scenes management of a website which would be familiar to anyone who has dedicated time managing the integrity of a website. This includes updating pictures and information to the current year, adding information where necessary as well as deleting what is no longer applicable to the Bertelsmann and Arvato brand, and managing links to make sure each click linked to its intended path or if needed, delete a link (working or not) if it was no longer needed.
How did we go about these changes? All of the changes were accomplished via BeeSite which in this instance includes the pages of the webpages relating to the Career Orientation Sites of not just Arvato, but all of the divisions of Bertelsmann. Within the application we made changes, even using some HTML language to edit the site.
Yes, this looks like a lot to digest but I'm sure someone reading this will find this interesting! We learn a lot here from using the tools to manage web pages to learning how to work as a team. And all of it is done while having fun!
